RMA request procedure

 


  Please read the below instructions carefully to ensure all steps are followed correctly. We want to make every transaction to be as expeditious and as faultless as possible. Thank you.

 

  1. Fill out our current RMA request form:

2. Send a copy of the completed RMA request form to SERVICE@MARASST.COM and request a RMA number.

When the RMA request form is sent to us, we will check for warranty information and items we have in stock for repair(s)/replacement(s).  This is to help expedite our services to you.
 

  3. Print RMA request form(s) (with the RMA number) and attach to the packaged items that are being sent in. Please do not forget to include Shipping invoice and Packing list.

Amount of RMA items must correspond with the amount listed on the RMA Form(s).  The form sent in by you is the written confirmation of the parts being sent in.  We do not want to make any mistakes during the transaction.  DO NOT add items to the RMA form after receiving the RMA number without notifying us.  We will not be responsible for parts that are sent to us without notification.

We prefer to receive defective parts only, not the whole notebook or bare bone.  We will only request whole notebooks or barebone from customer if issue can not be found from a single defective part. 

If only parts are sent, your RMA return time will be drastically reduced and also shipping cost.

Please remember to send the RMA with shipping invoice and packing list.  This is a requirement for shipping into China.  We have included the sheets with the RMA form for your convenience.  You can also use your own shipping documents but please include all of the require information shown on the forms.

  Do not send the following parts unless you need to put in RMA request for them.


  1. MDC (MODEM CARD)
  2. BLUETOOTH MDC COMBO
  3. WLAN CARD
  4. TV CARD
  5. OPTICAL DRIVE** (cdrom, dvd, dual, combo drives)
  6. Battery
  7. Power Button Board/Power Button
  8. Keyboard
  9. Power Adapter
  10. CPU cooler
  11. Stripcover
  12. Screws and other accessories (bags, software, cables, remote)(Notebook carry bags can not be considered as a RMA  item)

Do not leave CPU, Memory and Hard disk drives in the notebook.

Marasst will not use customer’s components for testing.  We will simply take it out and leave it on the side. (except for special circumstances)

Marasst will not place these items back into the notebook after repairs are done.

Marasst will not be responsible for these parts if they are missing or defective when return to you if they are not listed as part of the RMA.  

**Optical drives (cd, dvd, combo, dvd dual...) - make sure door, box, screws,
PCB module and any brackets are removed.  Only send in bare drives. 
We will not be responsible for assembly or replacement of missing accessories.
